My experience in Zambia was nothing short of AMAZING. We set up clinics that allowed us to help almost 1000 people medically and spiritually. We were able to do health screenings and eye screenings and pray for the people of Zambia that came through the clinics. We set up our clinics at local schools and played with the kids before getting set up for the day. The people of Zambia are some of the most loving people I have ever met. Every person I walked by made an effort to speak to me, welcome me, or simply a big, beautiful smile. Their loving spirit was contagious!

As I look back on my time in Zambia, I am beyond grateful for everything I have. I do not have to worry about where my next meal will come from or how I will afford my basic needs, an extremely common problem in Mumbwa. The people of Zambia were so willing to give everything they had to us as visitors in their country, and to me, this was so unbelievably humbling. We take so much for granted here in the US! But the people of Zambia showed me that they make do with what they have and still are some of the happiest people you will ever meet!

Zambia is a beautiful country and the people who live there are just as beautiful! I plan to return to Zambia again someday and take friends and family to show them the same experience I was able to be apart of this summer! I will never forget the love that was shown to me in my time in Zambia or the new friends I made during my time there. I am so thankful to UA for the opportunity to study abroad and be a part of such an amazing experience! Until next time Africa, see ya soon!
