UA in Oxford: English, History, and Honors

The University of Alabama’s Oxford program, a UA tradition for nearly thirty-five years, offers students the opportunity to live and study for a month in one of England’s most fascinating and culturally rich areas. In addition to course work on topics ranging from King Henry VIII to pirates of the Caribbean to Shakespeare, students also can enjoy program-organized activities that have included in the past touring the Cathedral at Canterbury, viewing a Shakespeare play at the Globe Theatre in London, and pursuing a pirate scavenger hunt in the port city of Bristol.
