UA in Guatemala: Development
and Human Rights

This program is located in the beautiful Spanish colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala, a UNESCO World Heritage site surrounded by volcanoes.  While staying in the centrally-located and historic Casa Herrera, students will learn about political and economic development issues pertinent to Latin America and the developing world.  The program will also be deeply engaged with human rights.  Antigua hosts an array of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with which students can gain practical volunteer experience.
