Vietnam / Cambodia / Thailand
To say I am sad about my time being over in Asia is an understatement. In just 12 days I learned so much and came to love so many things that I thought I never would. Obviously, I knew I would enjoy studying abroad, I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think I would. But, I came to enjoy the trip itself and the people on the trip way more than I thought I would. Each person on this trip made an impact on my life and added to the trip. I genuinely feel like any person on this trip I can walk up to on campus and start a conversation with and I am so thankful that those connections have been made. I loved Cambodia but after spending time in Thailand, I think I may like Bangkok better. We did have extra free time to explore so that may have added to it, but I felt safer than I thought I would in the city and as you know, I had so much fun going out on our last night. I do wish I would have had more time to explore the other markets in Bangkok (like the floating one) but I enjoyed the time I did have to explore the markets that were a boat ride away from the hotel (except they did not like to bargain). During the daytime in Thailand too, I was so impressed by the palace and by the temples and would love to go back on my own!
I highly recommend to anyone reading this to study abroad! I will take the memories from this trip with me for the rest of my life!
