As I am quickly packing because I underestimated how long it would take me to do so, I am checking items and necessities off the list I made titled “do not forget”. I find the list to be the most helpful thing for packing because otherwise I would forget the important things like a rain jacket, converters for the outlets, and sunglasses. No matter how many times I try to think through what I will need on the trip, I can’t shake the feeling that I’ve forgotten something important but I am just going to blame that on the nerves because otherwise I’ll never close my suitcase. I have just weighed my suitcase and it is about fifty-three pounds so I now have to go through the process of taking some things out. I took out some extra things like an extra pair of shoes I can do without and a few articles of clothing and my suitcase is now under the fifty pound limit so my suitcase is all packed up and ready to go.

It is now the morning of my flight and I am dragging because I stayed up late packing and the excitement and nervousness I have about the trip made sleeping a bit difficult. I am typing this from the airport now as I wait on my flight which is supposed to start the boarding process in thirty minutes and the nerves are very high. I’ve never traveled somewhere this far without a member of my family so it’s making me so nervous but I know I’m going to love it and I can’t wait to arrive in Dubrovnik, Croatia!
