Our next week consisted of many different parts of Italy and an incredible day trip to the Swiss Alps! We were done with our class, had taken the final and were ready to spend the next week exploring. We started out in Venice. Straight out of a movie. We got to do a gondola ride which was super cool. Climb a bunch of cool towers with crazy views. And experience all the shopping and food Venice had to offer. We then went to Milan. I did not expect to love Milan as much as I did., By far my favorite part of Italy. It was like a city mall with insane cultural aspects and insanely beautiful churches. We got to shop the whole day and find things that we wouldn’t typically find in the US as well as try new food. The next day, bright and early at 5am we got to head to the Swiss Alps. Wow is all I can say. I was speechless by this entire day trip. Pictures could never do justice to how insanely beautiful it was. We mostly were on the bus or in the train but we did get an hour to spend walking around and checking out chocolate shops. Our next stop was Florence. They had the cutest little spots like wine windows and restaurants that blew me away. We tried to see the statue of David but the line was so insanely long. Next we went to Rome. At this point we were all exhausted of waking up early every day, running around and going to bed late so we took a long nap when we got to Rome which was much needed for my sanity but I do kind of regret not being able to see as much. We did not book tours in advance so we didn’t get to see insane many famous buildings, however it was still incredible to see them from the outside. I would love to go back for longer and when Im not so drained and see more. We did get to go to a soccer game which was very electric and Im so glad I got to experience that.
