This is my first time going to another country and I couldn’t be more excited! The program I’m doing involves studying Shakespeare. I’m in Italy for 3 weeks and so far I have already been to Florence, Rome, Verona, Lucca, Pisa, Bologna, and the Cinque Terre. We are going to the Vatican this week and at the end of this week we will be heading to Venice! I may even go somewhere else on my next free day. I have seen and done so many amazing things. My program included a cooking class for us to do and that’s what I pictured above. We made different kinds of pastas and sauces and I made panna cotta and chocolate ganache for dessert. It was so good and so fun. Being abroad is so different than I imagined it would be. Since we’re only here for 3 weeks, I have tried to do everything I can which has been so exhausting. I don’t regret any of it though. I also love shopping so I have been doing that any chance I get. I have only been homesick once but it feels like the days are going by so fast, I can’t believe I’m leaving next week. Balancing class with exploring and fun isn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I’ll update next week and give my final thoughts after returning home. I love this so much that I’m already planning my next trip. If you are thinking about going abroad, do it!
