I recently was able to take a fulfilling trip to Nice, France. I found a love for the country of France very quickly. Unfortunately, we were about one weekend too early to see the Tour de France. I would love to take a trip back to Nice in the future to see that historical event. During my time in France, I stayed at a hotel called Hotel 64. It was very nice and I would so go back. My friend Reese had flown in from Alabama just to see me and my friend Sassi. He was sweet enough to book a hotel room for all of us. We realized very quickly he had bought a single room and expected all three of us to stay there. The hotel found that out pretty quickly too when Sassi went down to ask for an extra washcloth. We were told we could not stay there with him so essentially we were homeless for the night. Sassi and I were able to buy a double room, but our check-in wasn’t until the next day. So we did what any smart person would do, we stayed out all night! We met so many interesting people, explored the beach, explored the city and we were able to see the sunrise. It will always be one of my favorite memories from being abroad. We spent the next day at a beach in Villefranche Sur Mer. I included a picture of Sassi and I there. It was so beautiful! The beach was very short and the water had rocks everywhere within it. The water was very salty but it was a gorgeous blue color. The same night we were able to go to Monaco to see the Grand Casino. Unfortunately, we were not let in because of a strict dress code. Reese was wearing shorts and they were just not having that. I was grateful because I did not need to gamble all my money away on our first weekend trip. Overall, we met great people, saw great sites and had a weekend we will cherish forever.
