Leaving France and returning home was a bittersweet experience for me.. I was sure I wanted to go home, but I also wanted to stay a little longer. There were so many memories made during that trip and so many more to be had, but our time had to end. It's not something I will never forget. My study abroad has only made my passion for world exploration greater. I can't wait to visit more countries on every continent. Studying abroad has taught me that even though people have their differences, we all still have something that we can share. My advice to future study abroad students is to research the location you want to travel to. You should have a list of things that you want to try so you can get the most out of your experience. Come to your new country with a positive attitude and be open to new experiences. You never know who you might meet while on the trip, you will make new friends and learn things about yourself that you didn't know before. Only after returning home, will you truly grasp the impact of your time spent abroad. Also, make sure you pack enough clothing. If you're staying for a short period, try not to pack a month's worth of clothes. Just pack enough to last you for the duration of your trip plus one emergency outfit – you never know what can happen. Remember your trip is a time for you to learn, but also most importantly, remember to have fun.
