Studying Abroad Alone

I would be lying if I said I wasn't extremely anxious about how my study abroad trip was going to go, especially since I did not personally know any other students going on the trip as well. I am partaking in the International Financial Reporting study abroad program for two weeks in Athens, Greece and Paris, France with fellow accounting majors. Most of the other students came on this trip with another friend which was intimidating for me at first not knowing anyone. It really made me step out of my comfort zone to put myself out there to meet new people, but I can confidently say now even though I am halfway through my trip, I have truly made lifelong friends. This trip has been more amazing than I ever could've imagined and it's all credited to the people I'm sharing these experiences with. I've realized that your experience is going to be what you make it and the effort you put forth to fully embrace a new location, culture, and group of people.
