I think my favorite part about traveling through London was being able to see Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, and so many more places that I dreamed of seeing. Days feel so much longer while in London that we were able to see so much in just one day. Little did we know we would be walking 17,000 steps a day just trying to see as much as we possibly can. With London being a very walkable area, we were able to find some local places to eat and hang out, and enjoy spending some time together. Being able to grow connections with the people on this trip has been one of the greatest parts. The London leg of my study abroad experience is definitely one to remember. The people in these classes become your extended family because they are the closest thing you have to the states, so being able to learn about one another and have a fun trip has been great. It is very hard to get used to a new place and also not know many people, however, with the others on this trip it has been very easy to connect and build friendships. One of the things I will miss the most was the area where the hotel we were staying at was. Everything was just a short walk from the hotel, it was a peaceful area, and was very easy to navigate. I never knew how prominent public transportation was until this leg of the trip also. The tube was always a friendly place, and we constantly used that to travel around. I am looking forward to the future of this trip even though I don’t think much will top the London leg.
