Leaving Worcester College for the last time as a part of UA in Oxford is a bittersweet moment. I had so many great experiences that I will never forget about. However, I am also glad that I finally get to go home and see my family and friends again. I was on the same flight as one of my fellow program members, so sitting next to each other made the plan ride a lot smoother, plus watching Harry Potter on the plane was fun too. Arriving back home to Myrtle Beach airport, the first thing I did was get some ribs and Chick-fil-A. My cousin was also in town to meet me there. I think if I had to choose one thing that this trip changed the most about me would be knowing how much history can be in one place. Oxford had one of the deepest histories in all the UK, and it’s much older than our whole country. If I had to give advice to future students going abroad, it would to be willing to explore as much as possible. You never know what might be around that corner of the town you always walk by until you go around that corner. You might only be in this place once, so you may as well go. Also make sure your friends do not forget to bring their key with them every single time they leave the room, or you might end up going to the front desk 4 times to get the spare key for them! I’m forever grateful for this awesome experience that UA in Oxford granted me, and I hope I can return one day.
