Studying abroad never came to mind until I went to the study abroad fair in fall. Seeing all the places you could go really made me take a major interest in it. I’ve never been out of the country so I felt like this would be a great opportunity to do so. After doing some research into studying abroad I decided to pick Italy. It was my third choice to go somewhere because I picked two other programs and they ended up canceled. So it wasn’t until late March I was actually committed to this trip. It seemed like the day was approaching so quickly due final dead lines, finals, and other last minute arrangements I had to do before then. Once school was finished I started to prepare for the trip by contacting people, shopping, and working as much as I could until it was time. As the days grew near I was mostly excited but anxious at the same time. First time out of the country was the exciting part but being gone for almost a month with other classmates I didn’t know was going to be the kicker. Not only to mention this would be the second time I’ve ever been on a plane. For the most part, the plane ride overall was pretty smooth except for the wind turbulence that at times would make me question why I was on this plane at all but once we landed I knew this was a new journey I couldn’t wait to take on!
