Embarking on Semester at Sea is singlehandedly the best decision I have made in my entire life. Ever since I was in middle school I knew I wanted to participate in the program and my dream has finally come true. I have just returned from Thailand, where the ship disembarked, and am in awe of the journey I just went on. My time on Semester at Sea flew by in the blink of an eye, but I wouldn’t change it for a thing.

Being a voyager on Semester at Sea’s Fall 2024 voyage changed me in so many ways I could have never even imagined. I have not only grown so much as a traveler, but also as a person. I feel as if I can better understand the world and the way things work because of my hands on experiences across three different continents. I am finding myself to feel much more free with a burning desire to explore the world. Who knows where I may travel next, but I am excited for every adventure to come. I also am very grateful that I am able to return to the US and share everything I have learned from my experience with those around me.

For anyone who is even slightly considering going on Semester at Sea, please take the chance and do it. Although it took a lot of effort and time to prepare for this journey, it was all so worth it. The community onboard Voyage 134 was something so special and one that I hope to stay connected with for the rest of my life. Our captain always said, “We should come as guests and leave as friends,” and there is so much truth behind that. Thank you Semester at Sea, you have changed my life forever. Authentic to the Core, Voyage 134.
