So after a whirlwind of 21 days, I made it back to my stomping grounds in Charlotte, NC. I am absolutely exhausted, and completely satisfied. The trip was better than I could of ever imagined.
First of all, our group of 22, was fantastic. Everyone got along, and I am happy to say I can count all of them as friends. Which being a distance learning student, means my friend count at UA just octupled!
Secondly, Dr. Keskin proved to be an amazing professor and leader for the group. She put together innumerable unforgetable experiences for all of us, and every day proved to be a new adventure. For that, I cannot thank her and UA enough. To give an idea of how intense the scheduling was (in a good way), here’s a list of all of the towns we stopped in for tours or visits:
- Dublin, Ireland
- Bunratty, Ireland
- Doolin, Ireland
- Liscannor, Ireland
- Lisdoovarna, Ireland
- Clare, Ireland
- Kinvarra, Ireland
- Kilkenny, Ireland
- Waterford, Ireland
- Hollywood, Ireland
- Wicklow Gap, Ireland
- Glendalough, Ireland
- Berlin, Germany
- Potsdam, Germany
- Meissen, Germany
- Dresden, Germany
- Munich, Germany
- Erding, Germany
- Dachau, Germany
If I was to have attempted this trip on my own, I would have not been able to accomplish seeing half of these places, and I would have definitely have missed out on having this great group to experience it with. As someone who was always on the fence about study abroad trips in my undergrad, the only negative thing I can say about this trip, is that it made me regret not having done this before.
I have posted about 2000 pictures on my facebook, please feel free to look me up and check them out!
